Follicular Monitoring, Pregnancy Ultrasound and TVS in Kharar, Mohali
Medisyn Neuro & Gynae Centre in Kharar, Mohali provides follicular monitoring, USG pelvis, pregnancy growth scans and transvaginal sonography (TVS) under the direct supervision of Dr. Balvin Kaur Ghai. These scans are used to track ovulation for natural conception and IUI/IVF cycles, assess pelvic organs for PCOD, cysts and fibroids, and monitor fetal growth through pregnancy. Same-cycle appointments are available for time-sensitive follicular tracking.
Medisyn does not offer general-purpose or whole-body ultrasound. The four scans below are what we specialize in, and they are all performed in-house by the same gynecologist managing your treatment, not outsourced to a separate radiology lab.
Ultrasound for Follicular Study
Follicular monitoring tracks the growth of ovarian follicles across your cycle to pinpoint ovulation. This is the single most important scan for couples trying to conceive naturally or undergoing IUI or IVF, since timing intercourse or a procedure even a day off can affect the outcome.
At Medisyn, follicular studies are usually done every 2 to 3 days starting around day 9 to 10 of your cycle, continuing until ovulation is confirmed. Because timing cannot wait, we keep flexible same-day slots for women already mid-cycle.

USG Pelvis (Pelvic Ultrasound)
A pelvic ultrasound looks at the uterus, ovaries and surrounding structures to check for structural causes behind pain, irregular bleeding or fertility difficulty. It’s typically the first scan ordered when something needs to be ruled in or out before starting treatment.

Pregnancy Growth Scans
Once pregnancy is confirmed, growth scans track the baby’s development, position, amniotic fluid, placental location and growth trajectory against the expected timeline for that trimester. Once growth scans are complete and delivery approaches, Medisyn’s pediatrician Dr Amit Nagpal takes over your baby’s newborn care.

Transvaginal Sonography (TVS)
TVS uses an internal probe to get a much clearer, closer view of the uterus and ovaries than an abdominal scan can. It’s more accurate for early pregnancy dating, endometrial evaluation and detecting smaller cysts or fibroids that an abdominal scan might miss. All TVS scans at Medisyn are performed by a female gynecologist.
